Only if you include them. They are the three optional parts of the service: the quote lists what you chose, and prose is edited either way. Adding them later is possible — it changes the quote, not the editor.
Yes, when references are part of the scope you chose: spelling, spacing and formatting consistency, brought into line with the citation style of the journal you name. Name the journal when you order.
Yes. Journal articles, book chapters, theses and academic books all go through the same service; the editor is assigned by field, not by format.
Tell us which change and why. The editor either explains the reasoning or reverts it — your paper, your call. That exchange is what the free re-edit is for.
